JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, analyze, and reconcile payroll costing data to ensure accurate labor allocation and general ledger postings.
- Maintain and update costing configurations in the payroll system (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, or equivalent).
- Collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams to align payroll data with financial reporting and budgeting processes.
- Support payroll funding and journal entries by verifying account distributions and resolving discrepancies.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to review organizational costing setups, including cost centers, departments, and project codes.
- Prepare regular reports and ad hoc analyses related to payroll costing, headcount, and labor expense trends.
- Assist in payroll audits by providing documentation, explanations, and data extracts as requested.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline payroll costing and reporting workflows.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable wage and hour regulations.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 2–4 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or financial analysis; experience in payroll costing or allocations preferred.
- Experience with enterprise HR/payroll systems (e.g., Dayforce, Workday, ADP, or SAP).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of payroll accounting and general ledger integration.
- Proficiency in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, and data validation).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional partnership.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and data integrity standards.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS:
- Experience with Dayforce payroll costing or similar platform configuration.
- Familiarity with large, multi-state payroll environments.
- Exposure to auditing, SOX controls, or internal payroll compliance processes.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Team members work in an office or remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.
- Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.

Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
